Freezing and refrigeration
Refrigerators are available in countless different variations – simple versions as well as intelligent appliances with zero degree zones that control the air humidity and temperature the refrigeration space automatically. Food is stored under the best possible conditions and will therefore stay fresh for longer in modern refrigerators.
Freezers are often located in the basement or the garage, but built-in options are available to save you a trip to the cellar. You can then have your frozen food just where you need it: in your kitchen.
Appliances that combine both refrigeration and freezing technology offer more space for frozen food than those that just have a freezer compartment. The fridge and freezer areas can often also be controlled separately. The freezer section will continue to work, even if you are going away for an extended period and want to switch the refrigerated area off.
Wine cabinets sub-divide into temperature-controlling cabinets and climate-controlling cabinets, depending on whether you want perfectly-cooled wine ready to hand, or whether your aim is to allow a vintage bottle to mature in full. Some appliances will also offer a combination of both.
